Supported Microsoft services

Alcion supports the most commonly used Microsoft 365 services - Exchange, OneDrive, Sharepoint, and Teams. The specific data types supported vary by service and is constantly evolving and improving.

Exchange​

Alcion can backup and restore Exchange Online data for users and shared mailboxes. The following data categories are supported:

  • Email
  • Calendar events
  • Contacts

Alcion doesn't currently support backups of Exchange Online Archive mailboxes.

OneDrive​

Alcion can backup and restore files in the primary OneDrive library (Documents) of users.

SharePoint​

Alcion can backup and restore files in the Document Libraries for all SharePoint sites in your Microsoft 365 tenant.

In the near future, Alcion will add support for SharePoint Pages and Lists.

Teams​

In the near future, Alcion will add support for Microsoft Teams and Groups. The following data categories will be supported:

  • Teams public channel messages (including attachments)
  • Teams private channel messages (including attachments)
  • Teams 1:1 and group messages (including attachments)
  • Teams notebook (for entire team and private channels)
  • Team or Group SharePoint Sites (for entire team and private channels)
  • Team of Group Mailbox (Messages and Calendar Events)
